1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, mobile, tablet) when you visit a website. It allows your browser to be recognised, keeps your session, remembers your preferences or measures audience.
2. Cookies used on this site
2.1 Essential cookies (no consent required)
Necessary for the service to operate, they cannot be disabled:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Keeps the authenticated session, security | Session |
| Consent preference cookie | Remembers your choice (cookie banner) | 6 to 12 months |
| Language cookie | Remember the chosen language (11 languages) | 12 months |
2.2 Non-essential cookies (with consent)
Placed only after your explicit consent via the cookie banner:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Audience measurement (self-hosted, if enabled) | Anonymised audience measurement | 13 months maximum |
> Ecosystem doctrine: audience measurement is self-hosted (never Google Analytics), and fonts are self-hosted — no third-party CDN, hence no transmission of your IP address to a third party when the page loads.
2.3 Cookie categories
Cookies are sorted into three categories, the very ones shown in the choice window displayed on your first visit:
| Category | Status | Consent |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Always active | No consent required, essential to the service |
| Audience measurement | Optional | With consent, placed only after your agreement |
| Comfort | Optional | With consent, remember your preferences to improve your comfort |
Necessary cookies are always active: they cannot be disabled. Audience measurement and comfort cookies are non-essential: they are placed only with your consent, and declining them does not degrade the service.
3. Consent
On your first visit, a banner informs you about the use of cookies. You may accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies (the service remains fully functional) or customise your choices per category. Your choice is kept for 6 months and can be changed at any time via the "Manage my cookies" link in the footer.
4. Managing cookies in your browser
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
- Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Refusing essential cookies may degrade the service's operation.
